@PiyushGoyal @PiyushGoyalOffc @drmdelhi @GM_NRly @RailMinIndia had to climb 78 steps because of #InsensitiveRailways. What a shame that we talk of bullet train but can’t provide dignified lift to elderly & disabled at Delhi Rly Statn #StationWoes pic.twitter.com/HNmsjVD6Qg— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
You will find Wifi, MacDonald, even escalators but not lifts connecting platform at Old Delhi Railway station. #InsensitiveRailways pic.twitter.com/EgTWuKPbY7— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
Surprisingly there is lift but only for ableist railway officials. Doesn’t connect platforms #InsensitiveRailways pic.twitter.com/SkVioFMlLo— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
On complaining to O/o Head ticket collector, gentleman there said to use escalator. I asked how a person in crutch or a wheelchair use escalator. He had no answer. Other one said to use wheelchair but they tow you in open tracks which I refused— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
I insisted on written complaint but officer said that you have to go outside as the complaint book is on reception. I asked for phone no, none provided. One said, tweet to officials #InsensitiveRailways pic.twitter.com/LAYHP9cDrI— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
These are only for showcase. Neither officials told me about these nor they are in use. @srden_cdli #InsensitiveRailways we are not ‘divine’ people who will fly away on stairs like superhumans. We are humans whom you humiliate pic.twitter.com/koGPxLK4u6— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
For your kind info, I asked about the number of lifts connecting platforms in all 5 stations of Delhi via my RTI 2 month ago. CPIO did not respond and first appellate too has not responded yet. #InsensitiveRailways— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
This is not the first time. Same thing happened few months ago with me at Roorkee railway station. No enquiy report yet #InsensitiveRailways pic.twitter.com/6UhPGERhj0— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
And people with disabilities have to risk their lives because of #InsensitiveRailways You can’t even build one lift and you talk of bullet trains. @narendramodi जी कभी हम विकलांगों की भी मन की बात सुनिए pic.twitter.com/bIyuyrtERd— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017

After this nightmare of mine, NHRC took action https://t.co/quLxWjhfNi— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
Sensitivity of Railways’s can be judged by Minister’s decision of ‘more escalators’. Hon’ble @PiyushGoyal ji escalators are NOT means of egress for disabled & elderly. Is it so difficult to understand? #InsensitiveRailwayshttps://t.co/mVANxGRDtN— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) December 31, 2017
And this is how wheelchair users are lifted dangerously on escalators in the absence of lifts https://t.co/qXTOenRfU1— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) January 1, 2018
Reminder 3: 3 days and NO action yet by #InsensitiveRailways @PiyushGoyal @PiyushGoyalOffc @drmdelhi @GM_NRly @RailMinIndia @srden_cdli— Dr Satendra Singh (@drsitu) January 3, 2018
